Majovská, Barbara ; Kučerová, Irah (advisor) ; Krausz Hladká, Malvína (referee)
The purpose of my thesis is to analyse the tools and consequences of the fiscal federalism in Spain. Decentralization process has started along with democratization since passing new Constitution in 1978. It has been mainly reaction to cultural, historical and political reasons of creation of Autonomous Communities. Economic crisis stroke the Spanish economy very strongly and has been a challenge for the whole financing model. Thus, the main aim of my thesis is to deal with the recent development of the financing model. Since Spain is a member of the European Union, I describe also tools of the fiscal federalism put forward by the European Union. Spain is considered to be one of the most decentralized countries in Europe. In my thesis I want to prove that further decentralization has been confirmed by reforms responding to the economic crisis. Then, I want to show that used tools of fiscal federalism are profitable for both state and autonomous communities and positively affect economy of Spain and that they has helped to deal with economic crisis. Finally, I want to show that Spain is getting closer to federal arrangement of government. Maľárová, Soňa ; Němec, Jan (advisor) ; Fleissner, Kamil (referee)
The main point of this thesis is to analyze the status of Catalonia in Spain and the relationship between them. In recent years, in European and even in the worldwide media we can read about the efforts for the Catalan independence with the aim of creating an independent Catalan state. A theoretical analysis of the formation of constitutional arrangement and its vertical structure is instrumental for getting to the heart of the matter. The twentieth century is characterized by the development of democracy and the emergence of new states. Theory of decentralization and separatism are integral parts of these processes. To elucidate the events and the incentives to the efforts for the Catalan independence from Spain is described by the acquisition of Catalan autonomy, since its establishment II. Spanish Republic. By examining political, economic and social spheres, it is clear that Catalonia will continue to seek independence and the creation of an independent state. For now, it appears appropriate to continue the dialogue with the Central Government of Spain and to find common solutions to the project in a conflict-free way. The contribution of this thesis is to clarify for the Czech and Slovak public the Catalan efforts to create an independent state. If the goals of these separatist endeavours are achieved, both the Czech Republic and Slovakia will have to express their opinion on the international recognition of the Catalonian independency.

Zároveň nastiňuje budoucnost španělského autonomického státu a možné směry jeho dalšího vývoje.
